Sarah leads Boone Martin, a public affairs firm specializing in global communications, government relations, and advocacy/outreach for the mobile/ICT industry. She helps startups and young companies develop brands, enter new markets, and navigate the US and international government systems. She also works one-on-one with CEOs to enhance their professional profiles, prepare for international conferences, manage global media, and negotiate with government officials.
Sarah specializes in emerging markets and digital financial technology. She writes regularly about Bitcoin, mobile payments, public policy, and financial inclusion. She operates among a high-level consortium of international policymakers, including the World Bank, IMF, IFC, and UN, dedicated to shifting the global payment system to a fully digital economy.
Previously, Sarah spent more than 10 years overseas in Asia, Africa, and Latin America/Caribbean as a public policy analyst with: the US Dept of State, US Dept of Defense, USAID, UN, Harvard School of Public Health, and Princeton University. She is trained in quantitative and qualitative research and has published in academic journals and presented at scientific conferences worldwide. Sarah graduated cum laude in political science from Cornell University. She holds a master's degree in international economics and was a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Sarah received a Superior Honor Award in 2011 from USAID for her work in post-earthquake Haiti and an Achievement Award in 2012 from USAID for her work in public diplomacy.
